The subject of this research is the study of the school system in a decentralized area of the diocese of Padua, from the Post-Tridentine Era to the Napoleonic one. In detail, the work is concerned with the rebuilding of the development of the primary and music education in the parish of Tribano, a community where education was granted since the beginning of the seventeenth century from a Commissaria founded thanks to the last will and testament of the archpriest of the church of San Martino, monsignor Paolo Galliero (1550-1627), in order to pay a salary to an organist and a chaplain, who had to teach youth of the community music and grammar.
