Caudal cervical spondilomyelopathy in Dobermann is a common degenerative pathology of the caudal cervical spine. Long term it is demonstrated to cause bone, ligament and articulation abnormalities. All these lesions eventually are causing spinal cord compression and subsequent neurological deficits. The caudal cervical lesion can be classified in static and dynamic. Dynamic are defined all the lesions which are worsening the compression on the spinal cord due to movement of the neck. Magnetic resonance imaging MRI allowed discovering of various etiopathogenetic factors influencing CCSM.
