Abstract Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to visualize the anatomical structures and the functions of the body. Thanks to its fine spatial resolution and to the great contrast between the different soft tissues, MRI has become the most used method for the anatomical image generation. During the last two decades, MRI was widely studied and developed, so high performance devices and new analysis protocols are now available.
