The aim of this work is the study of the gene regulation of peach ripening with a genomic approach. The microarray platform μPEACH 1.0 and Real Time PCR experiments have been used in order to find out genes involved in peach ripening (219 genes up-regulated and 188 down-regulated during the transition from stage S3II to stage S4I) and to study the effect of two hormones (auxin and ethylene) and 1-MCP (1-Methylcyclopropene), an inhibitor of ethylene receptors, during ripening.
