The research is focused on the analysis of a large quantity of pottery coming from an urban landfill located in Adria in a site known as Retratto, between the area behind the Civil Hospital and the navigable branch of the Canal Bianco. This landfill well documented north-Italic terra sigillata both plain and relief-decorated, sometimes with stamps, pink and gray Thin-Walled ware, Black Glaze pottery, cooking pots and amphorae. The subject of this analysis was restricted to fine pottery, that is the decorated terra sigillata, the Black Glaze pottery and Thin-Walled ware.
