Objectives Oral anticoagulation is recommended in atrial fibrillation (AF) and atrial flutter to prevent strokes commonly associated with this pathology. Guidelines recommend anticoagulant therapy in AF patients at moderate or high risk of stroke, according to CHA2DS2-VASC scores.
