В артикуле рассматриваются стратиграфические особенности топонимов западной половины Ленинградской области. = The west part of Leningrad region during the long time was on the territory of Vodskaya and Shelonskaya Pyatina and was the area of joint habitation of Finno-Ugric and Russian population. In result, there is typical centuries-old cooperation and co-existence of different multilingual toponymic systems for this region as for all north-west of Russia. It is possible to establish pre-Russian (substrate), Old-Russian and Russian toponyms layers in diachronic aspect
