It has widely observed that boltsturn loose, when subjectedto fluctuating loads. This ultimately reduces the forceof bolt and leads to fail in the performance. Such failures can cause sudden great damagein safety critical applications. Therefore, it is necessary to design couplings withhigh positioning accuracyand high indexing stiffness. So the concept of curvic coupling was come in to existence.The stresses induced in the coupling have been analyzed by analytical method.
