Students at the Bachelor Programs in Game Design at Uppsala University Campus Gotland have identified problems in the way game projects are created, developed, and (after graduation) showcased. Tools for displaying skills or previous projects exist in services such as Emsi Skills, Skills Base or LinkedIn, but there is no platform that also helps during game development. The goal of the application GUTE (Games, Users, Teams, Events) is to help the game design students create and find project teams during development and by making it simple to showcase completed projects after development.
