This paper aims to describe the comparison of the arrangement of assets in marriage based on Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage and Minangkabau customary law and how the legal consequences of assets in marriage based on Law no. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage and Minangkabau customary law. This study uses a normative juridical research method. Data collection is done by conducting library research. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in the regulation of wealth in marriage to innate property and to joint property based on Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage and Minangkabau customary law.
