As the climate is changing very frequently and global warming is increasing at an alarming rate, there is a need to mitigate greenhouse gases which have gained a top most priority. As the main source of CO2 emission is fossil fuels (mainly in power plants), there is a need to keep check on utilization of fossil fuels. Carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) is one of the methods which enable the utilization of fossil fuels with lower CO2 emissions. Commercially CO2 capture by chemical absorption is very active.
