Theoretical questions (including axiological) found in the preamble to the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of Poland (comments of a political thought historian)

The Polish Basic Law derives from different traditions of political thought, not only the liberal and democratic tradition but also socialist or even conservative. It also derives from the republican tradition whose relation with the liberal and the conservative tradition in particular is one of the most fascinating research topics, explored nowadays by the representatives of the "Cambridge school". It is difficult to talk about a single axiology based on a single "normative vision" or rooted in a single "political way of thinking". It seems that we deal with a "complex axiology" deriving from several traditions of political thinking based on different philosophical theories, particularly on different concepts of man
