Different contexts of teaching French as a foreign language for adults in Poland

Adult learners have lately become an important target of foreign languages education market. In Poland, French is being taught to adults in several different contexts. One of them is a university program, preparing for traditional professions such as a French teacher or researcher. There has been much debate about relevance of French studies for emerging, enterprise-related professions, such as a French-speaking accountant, help desk employee etc. French is also being taught to adults in the context of lifelong professional education, for example, during language courses organized by enterprises, which have their own specific features. Some adults also decide to learn French at various institutions or private schools in their spare time, for pleasure or personal purposes, but the accessibility of this form of learning remains very limited
