Recent developments in bioethics in Polish science and medicine

In the recent years, Polish scientists have joined their Western colleagues in their efforts to maintain the highest standards of scientific integrity in basic and clinical research, The ethics committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the State Committee for Research have been promoting these standards among the academic community. Furthermore, the Ministry of Health's recent legislation paved the way for adjusting the working standards of existing and newly created bioethics committees to international standards including the recent changes in Declaration of Helsinki.
