This study was conducted (1) to find out the students’ perception of the role of studying English in VocationalSchool; (2) to disclose the problems encountered by the students in learning technical English; (3) to identify what the students need to know about technical English and the benefits obtained from their technical English knowledge; (4) to identify the technical English register which is commonly found by students at school and in the target situation; and (5) to identify the technical English register that is commonly found by graduates in the target situation.
