Industri Buku dalam Peradaban Islam Klasik

The early history of book was originated from Chinese civilization far before Islam was born. Various forms were used to express ideas at that time such as clay, bamboo, animal skin, silk, etc. In this article, the author covers the history of book in ancient Islam as it was transferred from Chinese, the tradition of writing, duplication, binding, and distribution. Most importantly, however, is the role of the library in the golden age of Islam, one of the most famous was Bait al Hikmah. To conclude his article, the author affirms that the industry of paper to become books has far developed today in forms of digital entity and well preserved and managed in the library
