Gardner-Webb, The Magazine 2012, Summer (Volume 46 No. 2)

Gardner-Webb, The Magazine, previously titled The Webb Magazine, focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. The majority of this issue is dedicated to telling the stories of multiple members of the Cherokee people; Gardner-Webb students and alumni both share their unique stories and experiences about their Native American heritage all throughout this issue. Following articles range in topic from new programs being implemented at Gardner-Webb to the publicity that the university had been receiving in the entertainment world, such as the Hunger Games being filmed close to campus and GW alumnus Ron Rash\u27s novel Serena being made in to a film. Several famous groups/individuals visited the GW campus, such as the band NEEDTOBREATHE and former presidential candidate Newt Gingrich. The end of the issue includes stories about former and current Gardner-Webb students and a reminder to campus visitors about the new Tucker Student Center.
