Acute and prolonged heating effect on muscle fatigue

Research problem: what effect have an acute and prolonged heating on muscle fatigue. Research aim: to find out an acute and prolonged effect of heating on muscle fatigue. Research tasks: 1. To determine an acute and prolonged muscle heating effect on internal and external temperature indicators. 2. To determine an acute and prolonged muscle heating effect on muscle strength contraction properties. Research methods: Testing (assessment of body composition; assessment of anthropometry; blood pressure measurement; measurement of internal (rectal) and muscle temperature; heart rate recording; electrostimulation; isokinetic dynamometry; heating). Results: The results of the force indices were not statistically significant when comparing the heating and control groups, but the force decreased statistically significantly after the exhausting 100 stimulus protocol. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the control and heating groups were not statistically significant, but the pulse rate after heating was statistically significant compared to baseline. The muscle temperature of the heating group at a depth of 1, 2, and 3 centimeters increased statistically significantly compared to the baseline value and the control group. The heart rate in the heating group was statistically significantly higher from the 5th minute until the end of the protocol compared to baseline and the control group. The rectal temperature of the heating group was statistically significantly higher from 15 minutes until the end of the protocol compared to the initial value and the control group. Conclusions: 1. Both short-term and long-term heating statistically significantly increase muscle and internal temperature. 2. Stimulation of the quadriceps femoris muscle with high and low-frequency stimuli remained similar between the two groups after both long-term and short-term heating. 3. After long-term and short-term heating, the indicators of maximum voluntary force were similar between the two heating groups
