Problem and hypothesis of the study: prolonged and frequent use of the smartphone with the severe head flexion posture could be one of the main contributing factors to the prevalence of neck and shoulders pain symptoms of smartphone users (Alfaitouri et al., 2019), therefore, we predict that function of cervical spine and myofascial trigger points pain when applying pressure will be significantly different between individuals who are at no risk for dependency, at high risk for dependency and individuals that are dependent on using smart devices.
