This work mainly addresses the problem of nonlinear observer and controller for induction motor without mechanical sensor. The first part is dedicated to observabilty problem of induction motor. We have established that induction motor becomes unobservable when it operates at very low speed without mechanical sensor. In this framework two benchmarks "Observer Benchmark" and "Control Benchmark" are defined. The benchmarks aim is to test and validate the performances of the observers and controllers without mechanical sensor particularly under unobservable conditions.
