This contribution presents the results of a survey conducted among farmers in the Alençon region (Orne, Lower Normandy) on the socio-professional future of their children. These results are taken from a thesis work devoted to the transformations of the social reproduction conditions of the peasantry in Basse-Normandie. They result from a cross between a statistical survey (factorial correspondence analysis between farming systems and social trajectories of farmers'children) and a family monographic approach (reconstitution of typical cases of installations focusing on economic stakes of some forms of installation, particularly Agricultural Farming Groups in common between parents and children).
