Familles agricoles, mobilités sociales et stratégies d'installation à la terre dans la région d'Alençon (Orne)

This contribution presents the results of a survey conducted among farmers in the Alençon region (Orne, Lower Normandy) on the socio-professional future of their children. These results are taken from a thesis work devoted to the transformations of the social reproduction conditions of the peasantry in Basse-Normandie. They result from a cross between a statistical survey (factorial correspondence analysis between farming systems and social trajectories of farmers'children) and a family monographic approach (reconstitution of typical cases of installations focusing on economic stakes of some forms of installation, particularly Agricultural Farming Groups in common between parents and children). This work is part of a social geography perspective. In this capacity, he contributes to the study of social inequalities in agriculture by exploring the scientific and social issues of a geographical approach to the agricultural succession crisis.Cette contribution expose les résultats d'une enquête réalisée auprès des agriculteurs de la région d'Alençon (Orne, Basse-Normandie) sur le devenir socio-professionnel de leurs enfants. Ces résultats sont extraits d'un travail de thèse consacré aux transformations des conditions de reproduction sociale de la paysannerie en Basse-Normandie. Ils résultent d'un croisement entre une enquête statistique (analyse factorielle des correspondances entre systèmes d'exploitation agricole et trajectoires sociales des enfants d'agriculteurs) et une approche monographique familiale (reconstitution de cas-types d'installations mettant l'accent sur les enjeux économiques de certaines formes d'installation, notamment les Groupements Agricoles d'Exploitation en Commun entre parents et enfants). Ce travail s'inscrit dans une perspective de géographie sociale. À ce titre, il contribue à l'étude des inégalités sociales en agriculture en explorant les enjeux scientifiques et sociaux d'une approche géographique de la crise des successions agricoles
