The objective of this research is to determine the level of anxiety presented by patients scheduled for surgery at the Santiago Apóstol Hospital in 2019, it is a study with a quantitative approach, descriptive cross-sectional design, it was developed in a sample of 49 scheduled patients To surgery with non-probabilistic convenience sampling, an instrument validated by Flores21 with a reliability of 0.864 according to Cronbach's Alpha was used for data collection, the data was tabulated with the SPSS v 25 program and presented with frequency tables and figures , The results show that 70% of the patients are between 35 and 44 years old and their anxiety level was moderate; According to gender, the women had a moderate level of anxiety. The separate marital status had a moderate level of anxiety and 66.7% of the patients with a higher technical education level had a moderate level of anxiety.
