The present investigation was carried out in order to improve the mechanical behaviour of asphalt mixture through the incorporation of rubber so as to offer an alternative solution to the problems which are affecting the asphalt and as a consequence the asphalt layer. Having obtained the results of the aggregates and the characterization of the asphalt cement, immersion-compression test was carried out to the modified asphaltic mixture to determine the temperature and digestion time, also Marshall tests were carried out on the conventional and modified asphaltic mixtures using rubber to assess the mechanical behaviour.
