A REFORMA DO ENSINO MÉDIO BRASILEIRO NO CONTEXTO HISTÓRICO DE APROVAÇÃO DAS LEIS Nº 5.692/71 E Nº 13.415/17

The secondary school reform made by Law No. 13415 of February 16, 2017, promoted considerable alterations to the functioning of this stage of education in Brazil. However, research shows that Brazilian secondary education, since the beginning of the institutionalization of teaching, has been attempting to establish its own identity, mediated by legislation that seeks the transformations in the changes to the curriculum, the way of teaching, the duration time, and the conceptions of teaching. This text aims to analyze the contexts of drafting and approving Law No. 5.692/71 and Law No. 13415/17. The study uses historical-dialectical materialism as an interpretation theory, under the theoretical perspective of Edward P. Thompson (1997), (1981). The theoretical background is anchored on research by Cury (1982), Cunha (2014), Romanelli (1986), Saviani (2004), Skidmore (2010), among others. According to the studies performed, there is strong evidence of similarities between the two legislations.A reforma do ensino médio, feita pela Lei nº 13.415, de 16 de fevereiro de 2017, promoveu consideráveis alterações no funcionamento dessa etapa de ensino no Brasil. Contudo, as pesquisas mostram que o ensino médio brasileiro, desde o início da institucionalização do ensino, vem tentando firmar sua identidade própria, mediado por legislações que buscam as transformações nas mudanças do currículo, na forma de ensinar, no tempo de duração e nas concepções de ensino. O objetivo deste texto é analisar os contextos de elaboração e aprovação da Lei nº 5.692/71 e da Lei nº 13415/17. O estudo utiliza-se do materialismo histórico-dialético como teoria de interpretação, sob a perspectiva teórica de Edward P. Thompson (1997), (1981). O referencial teórico ancora-se nas pesquisas de Cury (1982), Cunha (2014), Romanelli (1986), Saviani (2004), Skidmore (2010), entre outros. De acordo com os estudos realizados, há fortes evidências de similaridades entre as duas legislações
