International audienceIn this paper, we propose an Energy Detector (ED) using random sampling for spectrum sensing applications. This approach is performed in cognitive radio to analyze the occupancy of radio frequency spectrum. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated in term of the false alarm probability and compared to the uniform sampling case. The application of the random sampling presents more flexibility in sampling frequencies
