Termal püskürtme yöntemlerinin kullanımı endüstride oldukça yaygındır. Termal püskürtme prosesi kaplanacak malzemenin dizayn kolaylığını, ekonomikliğini ve kaplama malzemesinin çok amaçlı kullanımını (aşınma direnci, korozyon direnci, yüksek sıcaklığa direnç gibi) sağlamaktadır.
