Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major cause of high mortality and morbidity worldwide. Symptoms of the disease are usually related with the results of pulmonary dynamic hyperinflation. Treatment options are classified as invasive-noninvasive and mostly tend to be palliative.
