The cortical motor system is activated not only during execution of voluntary movement, but also during the observation of actions performed by others. In facts, a network of neurons firing both when executing and when observing actions has been found in the parietal and ventral prefrontal cortex of humans and for its properties has been called the mirror neuron (MN) system. Action observation based approach is used for rehabilitation of neurological diseases, such as stroke, but so far there is a lack of information about the optimal view setting that should be used to optimise the training results. This thesis focuses the attention to the hands position influence on the MN system activation and its possible implications with the use of th...
