Il cod. Bern. 363 e la costituzione del testo delle Metamorfosi di Ovidio. Una ricognizione e tre casi esemplari

The contribution of Bern. 363 to the critical edition of Ovid’s Metamorphoses is fully re-examined; there are several cases in which it preserves (alone or with a few other manuscripts) the genuine text, while elsewhere its interpolations show evidence of a critical work conducted already during Antiquity on Ovid’s text. After a brief description of the manuscript as a whole and an analysis of the textual variants concerning the Metamorphoses, three case studies are examined: 1) Ov. Met. I 36 read diffudit (diffundit Bern. 363, diffundi Tarrant); 2) Ov. Met. I 59 read rotat ... flamina (rotat ... fulmina Bern. 363, regant ... flamina Tarrant); 3) Ov. Met. I 173 read hac fronte (hac parte Bern. 363, prob. Tarrant)
