This study aims to determine the level anxiety experienced by student teachers, the causes of anxiety during microteaching classes, and how they overcome it. The research subject were student teachers at English Language Education Department (ELED) University of Muhammadiyah Malang for Microteaching class. This study used mix method (quantitative and qualitative method). The data were collected thorough questioner and interview. The result of this study shows the highest level of teaching anxiety is difficulties with time management. And the other factor arises teaching anxiety is teaching experience; lack of language proficiency; lack of student interest and they fear of negative evaluation.
