ANALISIS PERKEMBANGAN USAHA DAN TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN PETERNAK RAKYAT AYAM PETELUR PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 (STUDI KASUS PADA ANGGOTA KOPERASI PUTERA BLITAR)

This study aims to determine the development of laying hens business and the welfare level of laying hens farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using an open questionnaire on several indicators of business development as measured by several indicators such as production, gross income, net income, business expansion, and the number of human resources. While the level of welfare of farmers was measured using a questionnaire from the Central Statistics Agency of East Java Province about the welfare of the people. The study was conducted from April 2022 – May 2022. The population in this study were all members of the PUTERA Blitar Cooperative with the number of samples used in the study amounting to 42 farmers. The results showed that business development during the COVID-19 pandemic tended to decrease drastically compared to before the pandemic due to the high price of feed and the decline in the selling price of production (eggs). The welfare level of the majority of breeders is in a prosperous level, but on economic factors, the welfare of the majority of farmers is at a very low level or not economically prosperous
