This research aims to analyze the lecturers’ perspectives on teaching Speaking classes by online learning at the English Language Education Department, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with a narrative inquiry method. Therefore, the research object was the lecturers’ perspectives who teach online speaking courses, while data was obtained through the interview technique. The result of the research shows that lecturers have four perspectives. The first is that there is a lack of Students-Lecturer interaction.
