PROSES REHABILITASI SOSIAL DISABILITAS NETRA DI UPT. REHABILITASI SOSIAL BINA NETRA MALANG

This study examines the Social Rehabilitation Process in the Technical Implementation Unit of the Social Service of East Java Province in social rehabilitation of clients with visual disabilities focusing on providing social rehabilitation guidance to clients with visual disabilities as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the social rehabilitation process experienced by UPT. Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang. This study uses descriptive qualitative research in which the research data are based on data found in the field. The data collection method used direct observation at the UPT. Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang in the process of social rehabilitation. In-person and in-depth interviews, as well as documentation. The data analysis technique used is the data collection stage, the data condensation stage, the data presentation stage, as well as conclusions and suggestions. The results of the study are as follows the process of social rehabilitation at UPT. Social Rehabilitation Bina Netra Malang in providing social rehabilitation to clients is the provision of social guidance, physical guidance, mental spiritual guidance, and as a support for other guidance is skill guidance. Clients in receiving social rehabilitation guidance receive orientation and mobility guidance, Braille literacy guidance, daily living activity guidance, physical exercise guidance, social guidance and work skills guidance. Supporting factors for this research are the collaboration of several institutions, the support from institutions to support the distribution of clients' interests and talents, having established regulations, as well as guidance instructors who have dedication and experience in providing guidance to clients with blind disabilities. The inhibiting factor is inadequate infrastructure, such as buildings that are age-old, clients don't enter at the same time. The human resources of the Guidance Instructors are not balanced with the number of clients being mentored, namely 105 clients, which are held by only 8 Guidance Instructors.
