Traffic violations by children are caused by a lack of knowledge and understanding of the rules and ethics in good and correct driving. So many other factors that influence and cause children to be able to drive their own vehicles freely are the absence of strict sanctions from the police, the habit of people who don't care if there is a traffic violation by children, the influence of environmental conditions makes children often use their vehicles. Therefore, it is important to examine the role of the traffic police in preventing violations committed by minors. The approach method used in the preparation of this legal writing is a sociological juridical approach. The specifications of this research are analytical descriptive. The types of data used in writing this law are primary and secondary data. The data collection method used is literature study. The data analysis method is qualitative data analysis.
