TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN PSIKOLOGI PADA NARAPIDANA DI LEMBGA PEMASYARAKATAN KOTA MALANG

Psychological well-being of individuals is important to create happiness, especially for prisoners. Losing a period of freedom due to having to serve a sentence in a Correctional Institution (LAPAS) is something that is not easy for prisoners. The problems that prisoners usually face are the feeling of regret and the lack of meaning in their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of psychological well-being of prisoners in general, to determine the level per dimension of psychological well-being, and also to determine differences in the level of psychological well-being based on demographic data such as gender, age, education, occupation, and cases. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method by using a measuring instrument adapted from the Psychological Well-being Scale developed by Ryff. The subjects in this study were 200 prisoners in the city of Malang using accidental sampling technique. The results showed that in general the level of psychological welfare of prisoners was more in the high category, namely 56.5%. Then based on the dimensions of psychological well-being, environmental mastery is the most prominent dimension compared to other dimensions in prisoners
