ARAH KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM PENGEMBANGAN DESTINASI WISATA PANTAI JIKUMERASA

This study discusses how the direction of local government policies in the development of Jikumerasa beach tourism destinations. As it is known that tourism is one of the mainstay sectors to increase regional foreign exchange, tourism also has a very important role in regional development. Buru Regency is one of the regencies in Maluku Province which has diverse tourism potential, be it natural, marine or historical tourism. This research has a problem formulation that questions how the local government policies in tourism development in Buru Regency, and also who are the stakeholders involved in those involved in tourism development on Jikumerasa beach, therefore this study uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. In carrying out the policy, the Tourism Office has the aim of attracting local, national and international tourists, where the focus of the Tourism Office itself is to market and promote destinations located in Buru Regency. The results of this study indicate that the Regional Government of Buru Regency and the Buru Regency Tourism Office, in carrying out the tourism development policy so far have been quite successful because the policies that were born were clearly directed and were able to increase the number of local, national and international tourist visits. This is supported by a good bureaucracy in carrying out policies, good internal communication and supported by quality human resources who can work under pressure so that things that are positioned regarding tourism management can be implemented properly.
