UPAYA KELUARGA UNTUK MENCEGAH PENULARAN TB PARU PADA ANGGOTA KELUARGA YANG LAIN

Background: Tuberculosis (TB or TB) is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory tract caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Most tuberculosis also attacks the lungs, but it can also attack other organs. Tuberculosis was first discovered by Robert Koch on March 24, 1882. Symptoms of tuberculosis include cough, chest pain, lost appetite, weight loss, fever, chills and fatigue. The source of tuberculosis transmission is active tuberculosis sufferers, who spread bacteria into the air in the form of droplets (sputum sparks) when coughing or sneezing. Droplets containing these bacteria can stay in the air for several hours at room temperature. If droplets are inhaled into the respiratory tract, they can infect people. The goal: this study is to find out the efforts of the family to prevent the transmission of TB aru in other family members. Method: The method used in this research is to use qualitative approach conducted with Case Study Research research strategy. Data collection in this study using semi-structured interview method. Data collection in this study was conducted on three participants, namely, one participant is the biological child with Pulmonary Tb, which becamea participant two are children with Pulmonary Tb, and for the participants threeresearchers are children with Pulmonary Tb. Results: this case study, researchers can conclude that family efforts to prevent the transmission of pulmonary TB in other family members obtained 3 themes, namely efforts made by the family so that other family members do not contract, family efforts in preventing the transmission of pulmonary TB. knowledge of efforts to prevent the transmission of pulmonary tb that is known to the family. Discussion: in this study discusses the efforts of families to prevent the transmission of TB aru in other family members
