Nursing Care Decreased Intracranial Adaptive Capacity in Mr. S With a Medical Diagnosis of Cerebro Vascular Accident (CVA) Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH)

Background: Stroke is a condition in which the blood supply to the brain is cut off because blood cannot flow normally, causing blockage and rupture of blood vessels, causing the death of cells in some areas of the brain. Intracranial hemorrhage includes four types of bleeding: epidural hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and intraparenchymal hemorrhage. The number of stroke events in Indonesia is number 1, the highest in Southeast Asia and stroke is called the silent killer disease. For this reason, the final scientific paper aims to describe the process of nursing care for Cerebro Vascular Accident Intranial Hemoragee who are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kabupaten Malang. Methods: The research method used in the preparation of this Final Scientific Paper uses case study reports. The author follows the scientific method according to the rules of the nursing process which includes: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. In the assessment process, the author uses data collection techniques such as history taking, observation, and physical examination to collect some data. Results: After providing nursing care for approximately 1 x 24 hours in the ICU, the authors raised three nursing diagnoses. Of the three diagnoses, two of them have not been resolved. Discussion: The nursing problem of decreased intracranial adaptive capacity is the recommendation for ICU nurses to overcome these problems, namely providing 30° head up therapy to increase oxygen in blood flow to the brain. It is important to recognize the early signs of altered mental status, identify the underlying cause, and provide appropriate treatment to reduce patient morbidity and mortality
