KOMUNIKASI PERSUASIF SATUAN PEMBINAAN MASYARAKAT POLRESTA MALANG KOTA DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEWASPADAAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PENYEBARAN COVID-19

This research was motivated by the phenomenon of the emergence of the Covid-19 virus which has spread to various countries including Indonesia, because of the spread of this virus, the government made health regulations to reduce the number of its spread. One of the rules applied during this pandemic is PPKM (Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions), the implementation of this activity is then evaluated and Malang Raya is an area that has not experienced a decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases. Based on Presidential Instruction Number 6 of 2020, Sat Binmas Polresta Malang Kota carried out a series of persuasive communication activities so that the public was disciplined towards health protocols, so that vigilance against the spread of Covid-19 increased. The theory used in this theory is the S-O-R Theory, (S) the stimulus in question is the message conveyed by the Sat Binmas of the Malang City Police, (O) the organism in question is the community in the jurisdiction of the Malang City Police, (R) the response in question is a change in community behavior towards the spread of Covid-19. The method used in the research used is a qualitative approach, with a descriptive type of research. Using primary and secondary data types, the data of this study were obtained by interviews and documentation. This study used Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques. The results of research on persuasive communication activities of Sat Binmas Polresta Malang Kota, to increase public awareness of the spread of Covid-19, show that the delivery of messages is carried out directly in places that have the potential to cause crowds. A message is conveyed using rational exhortation means convincing others with a logical approach or the presentation of evidence, then an emotional exhortation, meaning by using language or statements that touch communicants, and motivational exhortation, meaning a message that uses motives that touch the internal conditions in man. Meanwhile, the communicator in persuasive communication carried out by Sat Binmas involves all members of the Malang City Police police, and in this activity there is no specific strategy because the form of message delivery carried out by Sat Binmas is responsive only
