PENEGAKAN HUKUM PIHAK KEPOLISIAN TERHADAP MARAKNYA PELANGGARAN LALU LINTAS YANG MENGGUNAKAN HANDPHONE PADA SAAT BERKENDARA DI JALAN RAYA (STUDI DI POLRES KOTA MOJOKERTO)

Law enforcement against traffic violations using mobile phones while driving on the highway is a commitment of the Indonesian National Police. If it is related to law enforcement by the police, that the police in carrying out law enforcement for traffic violations using cellphones while on the highway use article 106 paragraph 1 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. This research uses a sociological juridical research, namely see how the form of law enforcement against traffic violations using cellphones while driving at the Mojokerto City Police is going well when it is related to the problems encountered in the field. The source of this research data is through the process of interviews or observations made face-to-face with the informants. Namely Ipda Sukaren S.H. Head of Traffic Unit Operational Development. This study resulted in conclusions: first, law enforcement carried out by the police in the form of fines or fines for vehicles that violated the law and carried out socialization and appeals on social media; and agencies in Mojokerto City. Then second, the factor of lack of personnel and legal awareness as well as inadequate facilities are obstacles for the police in law enforcement.
