PENGARUH FINANCIAL DISTRESS TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Sektor Perdagangan, Jasa, dan Investasi Yang Listing di BEI Tahun 2020)

This study aims to empirically test whether financial distress affects stock prices. Empirical Study on Trade, Service, and Investment Sector Companies Listed on the IDX in 2020. The type of research is in the form of descriptive quantitative research conducted on trading, service, and investment sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020. Data collection methods in this study are documentation that uses secondary data in the form of annual financial reports of companies in the Trade, Services, and Investments Sector published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), namely www.IDX.co.id in 2020. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. , because there are two variables involved in this study, namely Financial Distress as an independent variable which is symbolized by X, and Stock Price as the dependent variable which is denoted by Y. The results of the study show that 62 samples that have been tested, it can be concluded that there is a partial effect between Financial Distress and stock prices in trading, service and investment sector companies. With a significance value of t-test of 0.000 which is less than 0.05 and means that Financial Distress has a very significant effect on stock prices during 2020
