This study was intended to determine the effect of the directional strength of oil palm fiber on the tensile strength. The matrix material used is a type of polymer, namely Unsaturated Polyester Resin, yukalac 157® BTQN – EX polyester resin and a catalyst. The treatment for the orientation of the fiber direction is 00, 450, 900. Each variation consists of 4 specimens and then tested. Tensile test results state that the highest stress results are obtained at fiber direction orientation 900 of 8.326665 N/mm2, the highest strain results are found in fiber direction orientation 900 of 0.013338 mm, but the modulus of elasticity results the highest value is found in the orientation of the fiber direction 450 of 803,016863 N/mm2
