PENGARUH KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM JAMUR YANG MENGANDUNG MOLASE, PELEPAH BATANG PISANG DAN SERBUK GERGAJI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN JAMUR TIRAM PUTIH (Pleurotus ostreatus)

Because it grows on weathered wood media, the White Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is a type of wood fungus. Because of the many advantages of white oyster mushrooms, demand for these mushrooms continues to rise from time to time. Every year, the demand for white oyster mushrooms rises by about 5%. As a result, the use of sawdust as a mixture of the main growing media has increased, which is considered inefficient for the cultivation of oyster mushrooms. It is necessary to use other materials, such as waste. The use of banana stem midrib is reported to be an additional alternative material for oyster mushroom growing media, so that the use of sawdust is not overburdened, and when combined with the provision of molasses, can increase the amount of nutrients in the oyster mushroom growing media, allowing for more optimal growth of oyster herbs both from mycelium and the formation of fruit bodies. As a result, the goal of this study is to first investigate the effect of giving molasses at various concentrations, as well as the composition of the media of sawdust and banana stalks used for oyster mushroom growing media. Also investigated was the appropriate molasses concentration for oyster mushroom growth, as well as the composition of the appropriate media for sawdust and banana stem midrib used for oyster mushroom growth. This study was carried out between November 2020 and March 2021 at the Agrotechnology Education Park (TAMESIA), Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The obtained data were analyzed using a Simple Randomized Block Design (RBD), which was then tested using a BNJ level of 5%. The treatment response has a significant effect on various observed variables, and some treatments have no response to the variables at all during harvesting
