HUBUNGAN KESADARAN KRITIS DAN LITERASI MEDIA PADA MAHASISWA

Having knowledge of media literacy is a way to survive in today's internet life. The importance of someone having knowledge and applying media correctly and effectively is an obligation. If you do not have good media literacy, it will become a separate obstacle for its users. The number of cases such as hoaxes or digital fraud is one example of the importance of being aware of media literacy. One of the factors thought to be related to the level of media literacy is critical awareness. Therefore, this study wanted to determine the relationship between critical awareness and media literacy in students. Researchers used quantitative research methods with 314 students as the subject who were recruited using the Convenience Sampling technique. The scale used in this study is critical awareness and media literacy scale. Data analysis uses product moment correlation. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship (r=0.454) between critical awareness and media literacy. The higher a person's critical awareness, the higher his media literacy, and vice versa
