PENINDASAN BURUH TAMBANG DALAM NOVEL PUYA KE PUYA KARYA FAISAL ODDANG KAJIAN HEGEMONI

Good literary works are not born from emptiness but are able to create correlations. Sociology of literature is the study of society, which is why literary works cannot be separated from a culture or society that created it. Social conflict is a conflict that occurs because of human social contact with various differences in wants, needs and interests both in the form of perceptions or ideas to violence. Hegemony is the success of the ruling group to get approval from the group in power over control or being controlled, and the group that gains power to accept and give approval to the ideas and political interests of the group that controls them. The research method in a study is very important. Qualitative methods are used in this study. Methods that pay attention to scientific data occur in qualitative methods, the context of their existence is very related to the data. Research on the oppression of mining workers in the novel Puya Ke Puya by Faisal Oddang uses a sociological approach to literature. This approach aims to present a complete picture of the problems to be studied. Through a sociological approach to literature can describe events and events that are the center of research. The findings in question cover 5 aspects, namely upper social structure, lower social structure, total hegemony, declining hegemony, minimum hegemony. In the Puya Ke Puya novel, it has been found that the form of upper and lower social structures, the upper structure which explains how a person's strata or position can be respected because of the title or position, while the lower social structure is where someone who does not have a position or title makes that person become bottom social structur
