MINAT GENERASI MUDA BEKERJA PADA SEKTOR PERTANIAN DI DESA TIREMENGGAL, KECAMATAN DUKUN, KABUPATEN GRESIK

Jobs in the agricultural sector receive less attention from the younger generation. The decline in the number of young workers can affect the regeneration of workers in the agricultural sector. This study aims to analyze the interest of the younger generation to work in the agricultural sector and analyze the factors that influence the interest of the younger generation to work in the agricultural sector in Tiremenggal Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency. This type of research uses quantitative descriptive. The sampling technique was done by simple random sampling method with a total of 77 respondents. The analytical method used in this research is SEM-PLS (Partial Least Square) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the research on the interest of the younger generation working in the agricultural sector that 42.2% agreed that agricultural cultivation was easy to do, while 35.1% expressed doubts if processing agricultural products required large costs and as many as 36.4% expressed doubts. Doubt if marketing agricultural products without entails a lot of risk. The factors that influence the interest of the younger generation to work in the agricultural sector are the level of education and the encouragement of parents has a significant effect. This is evidenced by the p-values at the education level of 0.002 < 0.05 and parental encouragement of 0.000 < 0.05.
