STUDENT’S PERCEPTION OF THE USE GOOGLE CLASSROOM AS AN ONLINE PLATFORM FOR LEARNING ENGLISH AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 06 DAU

Google Classroom is one of the Google applications which is designed for teachers and students. This Online learning platform is one of the alternative learning platforms that can be used in an emergency Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this research is to find out student’s perception on Google Classroom as online platform and the challenges of Google classroom as a learning platform at SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau. This research used descriptive quantitative methods in the form of surveys. The data was collected by distributing a questionnaire via Google form as the instrument to describe and find out the percentage of students’ perception and challenges about Google classroom use as a learning platform. The number of subject in this study was 84 students of the 8th grade of junior High School SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau. they were 8A, 8B, and 8C who had filled out the questionnaire. Based on the finding, this research found a positive perception of Google Classroom. However, this research also obtained that students feel that the most challenging aspect of using Google is the internet network
