HUBUNGAN KESADARAN KRITIS DAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK PADA APARATUR SIPIL NEGARA (ASN)

Political participation is an activity carried out by citizens to take an active role during political activities to influence policy or decision making by the government. When participating in politics, ASN is required to be neutral and not take sides with any political party but still give their right to vote. One of the factors allegedly related to political participation is critical consciousness. Critical consciousness is an action taken by individuals to overcome the gaps or oppression that occurs around them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between critical consciousness and political participation in ASN. This study used a quantitative approach with 130 ASN subjects who are actively working and recruited using accidental sampling technique. The scale used was critical consciousness scale and political participation scale and the data obtained was analyzed with Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the analysis found a positive relationship between critical consciousness and political participation in ASN (r = 0.215; p = 0.007). It shows that the higher the critical consciousness of ASN has, the higher the political participation of ASN has
