Auditory stimulations are frequently used as a form of sound therapy to induce relaxation and has been studied extensively utilising electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) techniques. For Muslims, the rhythmic Quranic recitations are widely recognised for similar relaxation and calming effects. To date, most EEG studies have employed sensor-level analysis to investigate the effects of listening to Quranic recitations on human brainwaves’ activity.
