Recently, Wireless Capsule Endoscopy (WCE) is used widely in human body medical diagnosis. Normal Mode Helical Antenna (NMHA) is suitable as the antenna for this application because of its small size and high efficiency. In this paper, NMHA performance inside a phantom of human fat tissue is calculated using FEKO simulator software. Frequency used is 402 MHz. The antenna used as the receiver is a half-wave dipole antenna. The equation proposed to estimate radio link budget for NMHA has considered few parameters which are the amount of power transmitter, transmitter and receiver gain, distance between transmitter and receiver and losses such as dielectric loss, free space loss and reflection loss.
